Contemporary Hungarian Design Shines Even Brighter This Christmas – From the First Weekend of Advent, 360 Design Budapest Exhibitors’ Products Are Also Available at Ajándék Terminál

28/11/2025

Budapest, 28 November 2025 – This year, the public can choose from an even wider selection of products by Hungarian design brands during the festive market season.  For the first time, numerous creators, product designers, and creative industry manufacturers from the 360 Design Budapest (360DBP) exhibition will be showcased at Ajándék Terminál (Gift Terminal), one of the country’s largest Christmas pop-up design and craft fairs. The fair, held across nearly 1,000 square metres, has been welcoming visitors since 24 November, and from 29 November, a 200-square-metre area will feature works by the 360DBP exhibitors. Throughout Advent, visitors will not only be able to admire these small-series Hungarian design products, but also purchase them. The selection offers unique, high-quality gift ideas for all ages, adding a special touch to the festive preparations.

As one of Central Europe’s main design exhibitions, 360 Design Budapest showcased the best of contemporary Hungarian and regional object culture for the sixth time this October. Although the exhibition has since closed, thanks to the collaboration between the organising Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency (HFDA) and Hybridart Management, the organiser of Ajándék Terminál, more than 30 Hungarian designers and manufacturers will present their creations at the Christmas fair until 24 December.

In the renewed and expanded selection of the display area, visitors will find not only the familiar high-quality design pieces but also a number of new additions. Alongside handcrafted ceramics, blown-glass objects, unique vases, and smaller furniture prototypes — such as console tables, shelving systems, and rocking chairs — shoppers and visitors can also choose from a wide range of limited-edition home accessories and festive collections.

The initiative of Hybridart Management and the HFDA (which will continue its operations under the name Creative Hungary from 1 December) aims to enable creators to connect with the public in a more direct way than in a traditional exhibition setting. It also allows visitors to the Advent fair to discover Hungarian design products in an accessible, everyday form, by holding and touching the pieces themselves. “We are extremely pleased with this collaboration, as thanks to Ajándék Terminál, countless Hungarian artisanal and design products have found their way under Christmas trees for many years. The showcase of the 360 Design Budapest exhibitors not only contributes to strengthening the competitiveness of Hungarian brands, but also makes it possible for even more design products envisioned by Hungarian designers and produced by domestic manufacturers to bring joy across the country on Christmas Eve,” highlighted Zsófia Jakab, Ministerial Commissioner for Creative Industry Development and Sectoral Coordination and CEO of the HFDA.

At the temporary fair, visitors will be welcomed by a spatial layout inspired by 360 Design Budapest, which has twice received one of the world’s leading design recognitions, the Red Dot Award. In the spirit of sustainability, elements of the exhibition installation return, contributing to an exciting presentation of the designers’ creations in this new setting.

Ajándék Terminál welcomes visitors at the Allee Shopping Centre (1117 Budapest, Október huszonharmadika u. 8–10) until 24 December, from Monday to Saturday between 10.00 AM and 9.00 PM, and on Sundays between 10.00 AM and 8.00 PM.

In the display area, the products of the following Hungarian creators and brands will be on view and available for purchase: ALEXA HARKAI; VIVIEN BENE; DAVID SALAMON ART & DESIGN; DEÁK DESIGN; DESIGN BY MONORI; FAÉK MŰHELY; PANKA FEHÉRVÁRI X DÓRA EILER; FÉSZEK RÉSZEK PROJEKT; GLASS-MAKER; GÁBOR GÓBI; ZSÓFIA CSENGE HUTTER; IDA STONE; KANJA; DANIELLA KOÓS; LÁSZLÓ KYRA; ZITA MAJOROS; MANNABOTANICA; MARKDAAVID; MOA WOODMAN; OLEANT LIGHTING; ROZGONYI ATELIER; SARAKELE STUDIO; CECÍLIA SCHMIDT; SLE; SZALABSSIK.DESIGN; EMESE THAMÓ; INGRID VÁLINT; ARANKA ADELINA VASS; VIAPLANT; YOZA

Hybridart Management, the organiser behind Ajándék Terminál, aims to draw the public’s attention to the unique value found in Hungarian design objects and artisanal producer goods, bringing consumers closer to the creators who produce unique, small-series pieces and products. Hungarian designers have been showcasing their work at Ajándék Terminál since 2017. This year, visitors can browse nearly 1,000 square metres of offerings from more than 150 designers, featuring hundreds of design objects as well as an expanding selection of gastro products.

From 1 December, the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency (HFDA) will continue its operations under the name Creative Hungary Nonprofit Zrt. (CH). Since its establishment in 2018, HFDA has been working on the strategic development of the fashion and design sectors through professional coordination, strengthening the accessibility and export capacity of domestic products, and improving the manufacturing and educational background. Since the beginning of 2025, the Agency’s activities have extended not only to the fashion and textile industry and to furniture manufacturing and product design, but also to offline and online game design and the beauty and personal care industries. To ensure the effective implementation of its expanded scope of responsibilities, the Agency is already expanding its ongoing projects and launching new programmes related to the newly integrated industry areas.

About the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency

The Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency was founded in 2018 to support every actor in the fashion and design industries in an efficient and structured way, following predetermined strategic pillars: professional coordination, enhancing Hungarian brands’ availability and trade opportunities, educational development and manufacturing development. To realise these goals, HFDA organises domestic events each year, such as the region’s major fashion event, the Budapest Central European Fashion Week, Budapest Design Week, or the 360 Design Budapest exhibition, which has received international awards. Besides, they provide Hungarian creators opportunities for participation and debuting at international professional events such as the Milano Fashion Week and the Maison & Objet design fair. Their primary tasks include strategic cooperation with professional organisations, increasing exports, and supporting Hungarian brands’ professional development with mentorship programmes.

360 Design Budapest

The 360 Design Budapest event series, organised yearly by the HFDA, draws attention to the everyday role of design surrounding us in 360 degrees. The event aims to make Hungarian and regional product designers more widely known using modern tools, help domestic design brands enter the international market, and present new, innovative, sustainable directions for the target audience interested in design. By realising the event, the Agency wants to help Hungary become a regional centre in the design industry and create a programme which is attractive to tourists from all around Europe.
