Ingrid Válint

Her work primarily focuses on the importance of mental well-being, living on a human scale, and respecting nature. As she emphasizes, the unique properties of glass allow her to express these thoughts and emotions. The inner life of a glass object—its subtle transitions, transparency, and the effect of light—all support this expression and, she hopes, invite the viewer into a sense of connection and contemplation. She completed her master’s degree at MOME in the Silicate Design Department, and has since participated in both national and international exhibitions.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITED OBJECT

Impact on each other (2023)

People interact in their relationships, generating changes in each other, evolving towards each other. In the creative process, almost the same thing happened, the metal tool met the hot, expanding glass material and the glass was shaped by this. In the meantime, both materials were changing, interacting. With my work I would like to draw attention to the importance of intimate human relationships, to the necessity of constant change, to the need for a common will to adapt to each other!
