Polacsek Kata
Kata Polacsek is a third-year design student at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. During her studies, she has had the opportunity to deepen and connect her interests in design and environmental sustainability. She has already showcased her work at Dutch Design Week, where she received positive feedback and participated in inspiring discussions. As part of the Erasmus program, she studied for six months at ENSAD in Paris, where she gained new perspectives and insights into French design culture. The experiences and the interaction between different cultures further shaped her approach to design. Her goal is to integrate the knowledge and experiences gained from the international environment into her work, creating unique and innovative solutions.
About the objects
TERKA
The product line derives its name from the word ‘terra,’ meaning earth, which reflects the natural forms of the objects. All of the products are made using 3D printing, allowing for easy variation in shape, color, and material to better meet the needs of customers. The contrast between the precise printing technique and the organically undulating surfaces creates an effect that is both exciting and harmonious.
