MOA Woodman

The creations of the MOA Woodman brand are made from ancient trees in Hungary that are several hundred years old, felled due to danger or disease, or otherwise condemned for removal. From these rare woods, the brand crafts monumental conference tables, kitchen and office counters, lamps, coffee tables, seating, and other interior design solutions. MOA Woodman also documents the history of the trees—and thus the objects—for their new owners. The project’s aim is to ensure that every tree used may “live on” for another hundred years.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITED OBJECTS

Chelsie

The Chelsie dining table is carved from a linden tree trunk over 150 years old. This type of work is one of the brand’s most popular pieces. Due to its complexity and the difficulty of the craftsmanship involved, such furniture is rarely seen from other creators in Europe. It takes 300–400 hours of work to cut and shape a similar table while preserving the original form of the log. The surface is finished with a hardened, waterproof kitchen counter coating material developed in-house.

Centipede ZW – Zero Waste

The Centipede ZW coffee table is designed to transform wood scraps generated during workshop activities into truly attractive furniture. Given the high quality of the wood used, the makers never refer to the raw material as waste. Each piece is crafted from 12 types of wood and 491 individual components.

Sophie coffee table

The Sophie coffee table is crafted from a single piece of wood with a 90-degree cut, designed to create a simple yet striking solid wood piece that emphasizes the natural beauty of the material.
