About the objects
POFT Floating Pouf
Using a playground spring, Bernadett Garai created a seating piece that interacts with the human body. Playful and slightly unpredictable, its instability still draws people in. The designer chose materials and soft shapes with this in mind, balancing its unconventional nature.
Bohemian Chair
The Bohemian chair was originally produced in the 1970s by the Veszprém Szigeti József Wood Product Factory, now known as Balaton Furniture Factory. While it was an ordinary dining chair, its details were finely crafted. The designer aimed to extend the use of public dining chairs to hospitality venues. Bernadett Garai found the original green upholstery intriguing but sought a modern material to evoke that atmosphere. She discovered furniture linoleum, which is easy to clean, eco-friendly, and available in various colors. After receiving a small sample from the Forbo linoleum manufacturer, she revived the Bohemian chair with a modern twist using the linoleum material.
