About the products

Body-creation

A homologous furniture collection

The body creation furnitures were created as part of „The skin of things” project on Erasmus. The collection is based on homologous properties. The concept focuses on adaptation regarding skin. lt can be a reaction to external environmental factors, for example in the case of evolutionary development. In the case of homology, organs that originate from a common ancestor and have the same morphological structure develop different functions with different skins. Modification and adaptation can be found everywhere, they show where we come from and help us determine our identity. By creating a skeleton and modifying it for different functions, we can create our own species. The concept is an open play based on this principle, giving the freedom of inventing new functions – e.g. new species – with new skins.
