ABOUT THE EXHIBITED OBJECTS

„CRANES”, “UNDER WATER” and “FLYING IN THE WIND” series (2024)

Anita Monori created the first pieces of the “CRANES” series during the “Roots” symposium at the International Ceramics Studio in Kecskemét. The aim of the symposium was to inspire new works based on the collection of the Museum of Ethnography. Following a visit to the collection, she incorporated and reinterpreted formal impressions, decorative techniques, and various motifs in the pieces she made at the time. Continuing the series with additional conceptual layers, she later created the subsequent series titled “UNDER WATER” and “FLYING IN THE WIND”.
