Virág Besenyei

DIY and creativity are part of the designer’s family heritage and have been a constant presence in her life since childhood. After finishing secondary school, Virág Besenyei qualified as a textile artisan. She continued her studies at the University of Sopron, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design Engineering. During her Master’s program, she explored various exciting aspects of research methodology, and in the summer of 2024, she completed my degree at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design with the concept of the Teddrack object ensemble.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITED OBJECT

Teddrack – Kitchen workstation for children (2024)

The goal of the Teddrack object set is to provide an easily adaptable, ergonomic workspace for children aged 2 to 10, taking into account their cognitive and physical abilities. This workstation – combining a step stool and a work surface – supports accessibility, organization of the workspace, and the placement of tools and ingredients during manual food preparation tasks such as grating, peeling, chopping, and mixing, in line with the principles of inclusive design.
