Balazs Botos Design
The Balazs Botos Design’s main profiles are design and make porcelain jewelries, homedecor objects. The collections and objects are minimalistic, round „happy” shaped, seems like „northern design”, pure and simple colors, many pastel colors many times. The techinque for the making is slipcasting, but he likes if an object has some individual signs above its perfect form. Nowadays the main theme was an experimental vase collection: the connection between the perfect, pure and raw surfaces on one work.
ABOUT THE DESIGNER
He lives and works in Hungary, Budapest. He studied at University of West Hungary. That was the place where he fell in love with ceramics. His intention is to create objects that do everyone’s heart good especially from porcelain. The functionality is also an important part of his design process and he’s intent on putting some trick, some ‚spice’ in his objects. He likes to give the people a ‚discovery experience’ and a ‚home feeling’ at the same time with his works.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITED OBJECT
Charly vase (2024)
The designer wanted to create an object that can be produced without any waste, and into which he can incorporate leftover scraps and materials from the production of other items. This not only allows it to be manufactured waste-free, but also results in a constantly evolving, varied, and unique product. Its appearance is dynamic and rustic, yet clean and refined. It always feels fresh and playful—no two are exactly the same. This zero-waste vase enlivens any home with its countless color combinations.
