UAU Studio

UAU Studio is a contemporary ceramic design studio founded by Vanessa Singenzi in Romania. Known for its instinctual and tactile approach, the studio creates limited-edition and sculptural objects that blend utility with artistry. Each piece reflects a deep commitment to craftsmanship, material exploration, and slow, intentional design—inviting a personal connection between the object, its maker, and its beholder.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

The Romanian studio was founded by Vanessa Singenzia, whose exploration of the versatility of ceramic materials has led to a distinctive design identity. Through UAU’s design philosophy, the process underlines the attentive craftsmanship it employs to create sculptural and conceptual objects that meet the functional. With this in mind, the studio has adopted a more personal approach by choosing to work only on limited edition objects.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITED OBJECT(S)

The Oven

The Oven Side Table – a piece with an offbeat sense of humor and whimsical sensibility. A collaborative project with Reborn Bicycles, a Romanian studio specializing in custom painting and coloring techniques. The work explores eclectic themes, from vivid colors to simple forms inspired by a studio ceramic kiln, demonstrating how new possibilities can emerge in ceramics through intuitive, cross-media experimentation.
