ABOUT THE EXHIBITED OBJECTS
Go beyond (2024)
Adrienn Szabó’s work reflects on the act of processing trauma and the persistence of issues across generations. The neutral background conveys a sense of timelessness and the weight of the subject, while the use of varied colours and techniques highlights the details and emotional depth of the theme.
Hommage à Man Ray (2023)
In her work Hommage à Man Ray, Adrienn Szabó reinterprets a detail from a surrealist photograph. By using floral colours, she emphasizes the softness of the female breast and its petal-like tactile quality. At the same time, the piece draws attention not only through form but also through its vivid colours, opening space for dialogue about the portrayal of the female body and issues surrounding body shaming.
