Stamp Deco

The team brings together the works of 9th grade students Farkas Boglárka, Kozák Levente Dávid, and Majzik Anna from BKSZC Creative and Craft Vocational School. Their project leader is Bianka Vörös and their mentor is Dr. Ákos Lipóczki. Their work reinterprets the visual imprints of Art Deco architecture and the world of postage stamps through printmaking techniques.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITED OBJECTS

Impressions of Art Deco (2025)

Motifs from Budapest’s Art Deco architecture reappear in contemporary graphic form on these student-designed stamp sheets. Created using drypoint, the prints condense the era’s elegance and intricate detail into small-scale visual compositions. A stamp sheet is a thematic set of stamps arranged as a unit. To engage their own generation, the young artists also reimagined the stamp’s cultural role through comic strips.
