Exhibitors Brand / Product sarakele studio

sarakele studio

The sarakele studio creates objects with soul: exciting, yet simple and timeless furnitures and interiors – always keeping sustainability in focus. Sára Kele’s experimental, forward-thinking approach goes beyond the visual, exploring new materials and production methods. Localism is a priority, whenever it’s possible she intertwines traditional craftsmanship with state-of-the-art, innovative techniques. She urges factories to focus on sustainability, and awareness on environmental- and societal effects of production.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Sára Kele graduated as an industrial product and furniture designer, following earlier studies in aesthetics, cultural anthropology, and architecture—all of which shaped her complex design perspective. Her most exciting projects come to life under the sarakele studio brand, where she creates furniture and interiors that are both striking and timeless in their simplicity. The brand produces its objects with a strong sense of responsibility, considering environmental and social impacts, experimenting with materials, and always prioritizing usefulness and usability.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITED OBJECTS

ZERO Collection (2025)

The aim of the collection is to create a product range that is both distinctive and minimalist in its design language—featuring unconventional lines and edges, yet easily adaptable to any living space. Its elements are designed for serial production and easy transport. To ensure a zero-waste manufacturing process, the solid wood panels that form the base of the furniture are precisely interlocked after cutting. The dining table, available in 2–4 person sizes, is tailored for design-conscious individuals living in smaller, urban apartments.

FLORA stool

Flóra was developed in collaboration between Sára Kele and Marion Duzan, within the framework of the WORTH Partnership Project. The aim of the project was to test innovative materials. The frame of the Flóra stool is made from traditionally hand-turned beech wood elements, designed for easy assembly and disassembly. In one version, various vegan leather alternatives were tested for the seat surface, while in another, in collaboration with NEFFA, a completely new seat was developed by layering Cocolok material with a Parycel shell.
