ABOUT THE DESIGNERS

Eszter Kunos, designer of Cherry Herd Nightstand is a product and interior designer, digital marquetry maker, and experimental hand-crafter, and has been the Chief Designer of VUUV since the end of 2024. She believes that the material world we build around us should reflect the values we hold, create the harmony where we find tranquility, and offer the inspiration that leads to growth. She has a deep appreciation for all materials and technologies—whether traditional or innovative—while always keeping sustainability in focus.

Liliána Mészáros, designer of the Lāni Chair joined the VUUV team in 2024. Her passion for hiking and mountaineering has a significant influence on her vision, which is rooted in a pursuit of simple minimalism and shaped by her studies in architecture and graphic design. She believes that natural materials and handcrafted products help foster a deeper connection with our environment, and that timeless aesthetics—free from rapidly changing trends—and sustainability meet at this intersection.

Anna Lébényi is the designer of Lena Marquetry Art Door. In 2013, driven by her enthusiasm for wood, she began learning marquetry and spent several months as an intern in joinery workshops. She is originally trained as an architect and has experience in production management, brand management, and sustainable product design. She believes that handmade pieces, created through collaboration and crafted from natural materials, possess a unique and unrepeatable appeal.

Lāni Chair Marquetry (2025)

Liliána Mészáros, the chair’s designer, joined the VUUV team in 2024. In a bolder design, the coolness of metal contrasts with the inviting warmth of wood, while also reflecting the brand’s deep-rooted traditionalist motivation. The sculptural object serves as a functional piece: a combination of quality workmanship and materials, and minimalist design. The harmonious fusion of these elements invites an aesthetic experience that we hope will also have a timeless appeal.

Lāni Chair Ebony (2025)

Cherry Herd Nightstand (2024)

Esther Kunos has been the lead designer at VUUV Works since late 2024. Eszter is inspired by the beauty and elegance of mid-century bronze animal sculptures when designing the laser-cut marquetry surface, which offers precise and detailed craftsmanship, and the turned wooden paws. The result is a perfect harmonious blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology, creating an overall look that exudes a warmth that is endearing at first glance, and will appeal to lovers of modern design.

Lena Marquetry Art Slidingdoor (2025)

Crafted, light, and versatile maple wood surface that is elegantly balanced by geometric patterns composed of rich oak and environmentally sustainable, FSC certified colored veneers. The inlaid turned wooden elements and wood carvings give the inlay a three-dimensional effect, so that the beauty of the wood is no longer just a plane, but also a space. Treated with natural hardwax oil.

Bowl on Spheres Large (2025)

Levitating handcrafted turnedwood bowl. Playful yet sophisticated, bringing any tabletop to life. It is an experimental piece of the complementary series.

Marquetry Art Surface samples (2025)

Since 2013, VUUV Works has been creating innovative design wood surfaces, which are now also available for interior design projects. VUUV Works produces both smaller prefabricated panels and larger made-to-order surfaces. A variety of design, size, and surface treatment options are available. VUUV Works uses FSC-certified wood sourced from European companies and relies on local suppliers.
