Fruzsina Vékony
Fruzsina Vékony is a student of Architecture at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. Within the field of architecture, she is particularly interested in the intersections where human use, function, and form meet. She explores the same themes in object design, where furniture becomes not just a utilitarian item, but a spatial expression. From the very beginning, the relationship between space, form, and material has been a central focus of her work.
ABOUT THE EXHIBITED OBJECT
YUKU (2025)
The designer’s goal was to create a piece of furniture that could be taken apart and reassembled, going beyond traditional storage units with fixed functions. Rather than referencing a single, specific type of furniture, the intention was to develop an open system that allows for multiple modes of use. The user can configure the furniture according to their own needs and spatial layout. Each individual element serves a specific function, and together they form a customizable storage system.
