kinda decent
Kinda decent is a playful design identity embracing imperfection, humor, and hands-on experimentation. It blends minimalist structure with ironic, human-centered details—objects that might wobble, surprise, or smile back at you. Rather than offering flawless design, it creates honest, modular tools for living. Kinda functional, kinda weird—always personal. A brand for people who like their design a little off, but full of character.
ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Domonkos Kincses is a career-changing mechanical engineer, a recent design graduate and the designer behind kinda decent. His work is characterised by industrial precision and playful irony. With his brand kinda decent, he incorporates mistakes and the everyday into his design values. His work has already appeared on the Distributed Design platform, in public spaces in Budapest and in friends’ homes.
ABOUT THE EXHIBITED OBJECT
Superbia (2025)
Superbia is a chair with open storage that stands out from the ordinary at first glance. Its clean, tubular structure is accentuated by a single detail: a lifelike human big toe supports the chair in place of a leg. This grotesque, playful form gives the object character and strikes a balance between functionality and sculptural appearance. The chair functions as both seating and sculptural object.
