“Tibor Somlai is one of the most original representatives of contemporary Hungarian interior design. He is a versatile artist, designing private homes and public institutions (such as hospitals and clinics) as well as shops and catering establishments. He has also contributed to the success of major exhibitions with special installations, such as the Lajos Kozma exhibition, the Victoria and Albert Museum’s “Art for All” event, and “Art Deco and Modernism”. His art is characterised by an exceptional stylistic sensibility. His installations were not the only way in which he was able to adapt to the period and culture of the subject of the above-mentioned exhibitions. As his authentic restoration and renovation of the historicist interiors of the Lukács Café and the Art Deco world of the Broadway cinema show, he has produced interior design solutions that are highly respectful of the values of the original milieus, while also asserting his own individuality.
Tibor Somlai is a rare strong personality. The way in which he creates a unified and powerful whole from the most diverse stylistic fragments is reminiscent of the spirit of the greatest – mostly Italian – personalities of the so-called postmodern phenomenon. But he does not follow any of his colleagues: for him, the main source of inspiration is Hungarian art deco. His theoretical work is also noteworthy. He has done a great service to both the profession and the intellectual world with four publications in which he has processed material from private and public collections and periodicals, publishing photographs and plans of the most significant achievements of modern Hungarian interior design.’ – József Vadas, art historian

The conically machined elliptical legs highlight the shape nicely and form an elegant frame under the seat. The seat cushion of the lounge chair and sofa has a spring structure and a layered foam, so the furniture has long lasting value in the long term.
A variety of pillows are available for the seat to ensure a comfortable seating and time.
It is recommended as a flat /apartment furniture, as well as in public areas of hotels and public institutions. It can be an eye-catching and a fresh spot of the interior. Available as a serial product.
