About the products
Átló collection
The collection highlights the diagonal, making its layered meanings visible across contexts. A diagonal is a straight line connecting two notable points far apart from each other in the shortest way possible. Due to Hungary’s position in Central Europe, it has always played a connecting role between the West and the East, which is deeply ingrained in the culture: we are the diagonal that connects two distant, non-adjacent points. The furniture collection is an experimental exploration of playful geometry. Manufactured with low material usage and basic technology, its visual language is very simple, using a limited vocabulary to create distinct forms depending on the perspective. From a flat panel, smaller rectangles and right-angled triangles created by diagonals form the components.
Compostion I
Composition I is a small-series furniture piece with a strong emphasis on geometry and composition. The aesthetics of it become a function in itself; using the cabinet creates decorative, art-like situations where feelings, attachment, and association play a greater role. Storing and displaying objects on it provides a different context, emphasizing the items’ quality or creating tension and contrast. The concept is to achieve eye-catching visuals, whether in a positive or negative light, leaving the interpretation up to the viewer, while using low-tech materials and methods, and minimizing waste. The title of this object is a reference to 20th-century abstract painters like Kandinsky and Mondrian.
