360 Design Budapest– International Designers Invited to Join Central Europe’s Contemporary Design Exhibition
The Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency (HFDA) announces its open call for 360 Design Budapest 2025, inviting emerging and established designers from all around the world to apply to one the key professional design events of the Central European region. The exhibition, a flagship event of Budapest Design Week, provides a curated, international platform for showcasing contemporary design talent and strengthening cross-border dialogue.
Returning for its sixth edition from October 9 to 19, 2025, 360 Design Budapest has grown into a recognized regional hub for contemporary product and industrial design, offering visibility, networking, and professional development for designers from Hungary and the wider Central European region. Organized by the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency (HFDA), the exhibition is one of the flagship events of Budapest Design Week, drawing attention to the role of design in shaping social, cultural, and economic narratives in the Central European region.
The HFDA’s mission is to strengthen Hungary’s and Central Europe’s creative industries by supporting design talents, encouraging regional cooperation, and fostering international competitiveness. Through 360 Design Budapest, the agency creates a space for meaningful exchange, discovery, and collaboration among designers, curators, and the professional public.
Since its launch in 2020, the exhibition has showcased over 200 designers from 10 countries, including over 40 regional designers from countries such as Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Ukraine, and Serbia, as well as Austria and the Netherlands. The event has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Red Dot Design Award, A’ Design Award, and Eventex Award, further reinforcing its standing within the international design scene.
The 2025 exhibition is built around the theme: “Design Aligns – Creating Together, Living Connected.” It invites designers whose work reflects collaborative thinking, contextual sensitivity, and a forward-looking approach to contemporary design challenges. Applicants are expected to present work that engages with current issues such as sustainability, material innovation, cultural identity, and functionality.
Designers may apply with production-ready objects, limited editions, prototypes, or digital concepts. Eligible categories include furniture, lighting, textiles, ceramics, rugs, glass, metal and mixed-material objects, as well as autonomous art pieces with a design focus.
Applications will be reviewed by a professional jury, based on criteria such as aesthetic quality, concept development, sustainability, and potential for production. Selected works will be featured in a professionally curated exhibition at an iconic venue in Budapest and will also receive visibility across HFDA’s digital platforms.
Participation is free of charge, and the application deadline is July 15, 2025. Designers interested in joining the exhibition and connecting with the region’s most promising creative minds are encouraged to apply.
