The brand was born to design and create unique solid wooden furniture. The combination of comfort and functionality creates value across generations.
About the designer
After high school, Bence Sárkány chose the carpentry profession and has been committed to advancing the craft ever since. Creating his own designed furniture has been at the center of his interests from the beginning of his studies. In 2019, Bence Sárkány founded his own brand, Sárkány Bence Furniture. His products represent exceptional quality and unique design, reflecting his creative vision.
In 2022, beyond participating in the Construma exhibition, his appearance in Elle Decoration magazine proved to be a crucial milestone for promoting his brand and reaching a wider audience. In the same year, he was nominated in the Young Talent category of the Elle EDIDA. He also participated in the S/ALON interior design exhibition, where he showcased his 3.14 chair, giving a broader audience the opportunity to discover his work. In 2023, he introduced his second product, the RINGA rocking chair, which was showcased at Construma, S/ALON, and the 360 Design Budapest exhibition. In 2024, he completed the TSUKI dining chair and the KITIN coffee table, further strengthening his brand’s diversity and creative portfolio. Earlier this year, he created his first piece of art – ORJA. Bence continually seeks new challenges and opportunities to innovate and advance his design career. Bence Sárkány’s style features elements reminiscent of Scandinavian furniture. His goal is to create furniture that stands the test of time in both form and functionality, lasting even decades. He places great emphasis on optimized material use in the design and manufacturing process to ensure his products have the smallest possible ecological footprint.
About the objects
ORJA
The Orja is an artwork inspired by the form of a previous chair, which serves as the backbone of the brand. At the same time, its surface was created using a special process that is extremely time-consuming, with approximately 12,000 grooves. The significance of this work lies in highlighting the relativity of time and balancing on the boundary between functional and exhibit objects. Only one piece of this object has been made.
Tsuki
Every detail of the Tsuki chair is meticulously designed and handcrafted. It was completed in 2024, the year of the Wood Dragon. The backrest is inspired by the Japanese torii gate. The stable yet delicate frame is made from carefully selected oak/ash wood to serve its owner for many years. The chair is suitable as a dining chair and can also be used as a statement piece in a minimalist interior. Each product is marked with a logo and a unique serial number.
Kitin
The elliptical tabletop and rounded edges of the coffee table provide a modern, harmonious appearance. The legs, inspired by the Ringa rocking chair, not only offer stability but also create a visual unity between the chair and the table, making it a perfect addition to the collection.
