Op Lamps & Objects
Olena Pateli is a mixed media artist born and raised in Ukraine, with studies in the Netherlands and Italy. She now lives and works in Kyiv, Ukraine. After the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the concept of “home” took on new meanings for her, which in turn influenced the way she designs home objects. Her project, Op Lamps & Objects, became a personal way to find inner peace amidst a world full of challenges. To Olena, home should be a place where one feels safe and at peace, no matter how chaotic the outside world may be. Every object she creates reflects this belief.
Having always worked hands-on, it was natural for her to choose ceramics as a medium. Her designs are inspired by nature’s organic forms, often sparked by long, peaceful walks through local forests, as well as by Ukraine’s ancient cultures and legends. Each piece is a unique work of art. The Op Lamps & Objects collection embodies both design and tranquility, with colors, forms, and light that evoke relaxation and coziness, asking for nothing in return.
