La Flor Art
Flóra Karácsony has always had a close connection to plants, and thanks to the family business, she grew up with recycling as one of the pillars of their life. Her relationship with plants developed relatively late because during her university years, she traveled a lot with Erasmus, so she wasn’t able to physically plant anything. The COVID period sparked the idea in her, and that’s when she truly began experimenting with terrariums.
In 2022, she completed an Ornamental Horticulture course and is currently pursuing studies in garden design. She believes that most experience is gained through practical work, but she also thinks that one can never learn enough in this field. She attended a herbal training in Bükkszentkereszt and distilled essential oils in Pannonhalma, so she is interested in all aspects of plant use.
In her opinion, the industrial style best represents her work, as she strives to make her creations unique, whether with rusty metal holders or chipped glassware, but the term “brand new” never applies to her products.
Initially, she started making terrariums just for herself and friends, but over time, it grew into something more, and she found herself attending fairs where there was significant demand for her creations. She tried various design markets in Budapest and in the countryside, and at these fairs, many people asked if she held workshops, as they were eager to learn the secrets of terrarium making. This led her to start holding workshops and eventually team-building events at company functions or offices.
However, the true honor came when she was able to participate as an exhibitor at the 2023 Ozora Festival, followed by the first Inota Festival. In 2024, she was also part of an exciting project, contributing to the Fénydóm at the Biodome section of the Zoo.
Motto: the double green project.
