About the objects

Cactus Table is a limited edition low table crafted from pure aluminum. The design transcends simple mimicry to become an exploration of form and technique. The table’s creation process employs easily accessible 2D manufacturing techniques, ingeniously transforming flat patterns into complex, three-dimensional sculptures. This method infuses the piece with a sense of motion and depth, making it appear almost sculpted.

The visual language of Cactus Table can be described as maximalism, not only for its abundant decorative details but also for its clever subversion of minimalism. By extensively utilizing the simple geometric shapes of minimalism, it creates an overwhelming yet harmonious composition.

“The concept behind Cactus Table was to experiment with the transformation of 2D patterns into 3D forms. I aimed to challenge the conventional use of minimalistic shapes, amplifying them into a maximalist aesthetic. The result is a piece that is both visually striking and rich in detail, evoking the intricate beauty of the raw material.”
