For Anna Regős, textile art is about experimenting with new materials and inventing new techniques. By “re-creating” patterns, we can time travel from the past through the present to the future. Since the beginning of her career, creating experimental works and design textiles for use both play an important role in her career. The OP collection was launched in 2018. The starting point for the design was the traditional “stone pattern” used in Hungarian folk art, created by the alternation of small and large squares. By turning the motif diagonally, it evoked another era, the world of op art which is known for its playful use of space and colours and is represented by the world-famous Hungarian artist Victor Vasarely.
